School Site Facilitator

OVERVIEW
Local school looking for individuals to assist in the overall operations at the Afterschool Site.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the management and administration of the Afterschool program.
  • Assist in the development and use of monitoring and data gathering instruments, including forms, questionnaires, and surveys.
  • Compile and evaluate data to meet the reporting requirements by the Department of Education and develop required reports.
  • Work effectively with principals, site staff, and partnering agencies to obtain cooperation and compliance with program requirements.
  • Meet with parent and community groups to provide information, solicit support and recommendations, and report program information and progress.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe, structured after school and early morning program for children participating in the Student Adventures Afterschool program, using good judgment, prioritization skills, and effective working relationships with program staff, parents and community members.
  • Provide oversight and guidance in monitoring, reviewing and analyzing activities at one of the Afterschool Sites.
  • Build and strengthen a strong team at each Afterschool Site to insure that program objectives are met.
  • Assist in training, and evaluation staff performance to accomplish program goals for each child’s improvement in social relationships and academic performance.
  • Support program staff activities to insure improvement in children’s academic and social performance.
  • Assist Site Coordinators to resolve areas of concern and to improve program performance.
  • Coordinate the development of program supply needs and distribution on a timely basis to support program activities.
  • Analyze program progress and make recommendations for program improvements/changes to comply with policies and grant provisions
  • Assist in coordinating home visits to Afterschool families..
  • Make periodic inspections at site to maintain inventory, order supplies, and collect data.
  • Connect school curriculum with after school activities to provide extended learning opportunities.
  • Assist in development, recruiting, and monitoring matches for the mentoring program at Site.
  • Maintain close daily contact with school staff, after school and early riser staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues and provide/receive feedback.
  • Assist Mentoring Program Coordinator with mentoring data collection and testing.
  • Obtain teacher referrals for mentoring programs; assure completion of required mentor application and screening.

  • Effectively implements the goals and objectives of the district’s multi- cultural, non-sexist educational plan in his/her area. 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Knowledge or Experience in: 
  • Youth Programs
  • Program development and coordination
  • Effective written oral communication skills
  • Data gathering and report development
  • Developing literacy, enrichment and/or recreational programs
  • Use of computers and report development
WORK HOURS/SHIFT
  • 12-5:30pm Monday – Friday
WAGE
  • $12.00/hr.
