Abstract Production Specialist

OVERVIEW
Clinton, IA company seeking a motivated and reliable administrative professional to fill the role of Abstract Production Specialist. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Retrieves, compiles, and prepares various documents
  • Writes and edits various documents as requested
  • Types letters, memos, bills, reports, and abstracts with accuracy
  • File various documents
  • Accurately enters data into various databases
  • Provides clerical assistance when needed
  • Attends meetings and/or conducts off-site business as instructed
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of land title industry
  • Knowledge of computer software including Windows, Microsoft Office, Word Perfect
  • Skill in operating various office equipment
  • Skill and accuracy in writing and typing abstracts and title reports
  • Ability to read and comprehend real estate/legal documents and legal descriptions
  • Ability to read cursive
  • Ability to type at a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail with strong spelling and proofreading skills
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
EDUCATION
  • A minimum of a high school diploma.  Associates Degree or work experience in legal and/or real estate fields preferred.
WORK HOURS/SHIFT
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm 
WAGE
  • $17.50/ hr + DOE
