Several Quad Cities children will be feeling the holiday spirit this year thanks to the help of Ascentra Credit Union.
A total of 65 children from the Boys & Girls Club of the Mississippi Valley requested toys and clothing for an angel tree and Ascentra stepped up for the second year fulfilling their gift requests. This year, Santa Claus will be there along with the Ascentra helpers to surprise the kids with their gifts.
“We are excited to partner with the Boy’s & Girl’s Club again this year,” said Linda Andry, President and CEO, Ascentra Credit Union. “Supporting an organization focused on providing our youth with a safe after school space, positive adult mentors and activities that build a promising future, aligns with Ascentra’s purpose of listening, caring, doing what’s right and the credit union movement of people helping people!”
“We are deeply grateful for the partnership, support and generosity from Ascentra Credit Union,” said Torri Smith, Chief Executive Officer, Boy’s & Girl’s Clubs of the Mississippi Valley. “They are critical in helping us achieve great things and are truly making a difference in the lives of youth and teens at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley.”
Credit union employees will be handing out gifts to the children during the club’s holiday party on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024 from 4 – 5 p.m.
