Resthave Care & Rehabilitation Celebrates National Skilled Nursing Care Week

We celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) with a week full of extra fun and meaningful activities! Be sure to stay tuned - we'll be sharing plenty of photos throughout the week so you can join in the celebration!

Monday. We kicked off NSNCW with a special proclamation - thank you to our City Administrator, Brian Melton, for joining us and making it official. Residents also enjoyed a petting zoo, which never fails to bring lost of smiles. A big thank you to Paula Adams for sharing your wonderful animals with us!

In the afternoon, we hosted a cultural taste testing event with a variety of delicious foods like sushi, egg rolls, pizza, chips with cheese dip, almond pinwheels, macaroons, and hamburger sliders. It was such a hit, the residents are already asking for a repeat!

Wednesday. The fun continued with a lively game of kickball followed by karaoke. Residents enjoyed soda, popcorn and mocktails for refreshments.

Thursday. We're calling it "Touring the Arts" - the morning featured live music, and in the afternoon, residents expressed their creativity by painting mini canvas murals for our "Tapestry of Life" project.

Friday. We wrapped up the week with the opening of our Sensory Garden in the new greenhouse! Residents will also get to plant their own sensory pots to keep in their rooms. In the afternoon we'll relax with a showing of "Fried Green Tomatoes" and enjoy ice cream sundaes - YUM!.

It's been a week full of joy, creativity, and community. Thank you to everyone who helped make these moments so special!
