Every legislative session, Grow Clinton and DeWitt Chamber & Development Corp host two Legislative Coffees on one Saturday every month. Grow Clinton’s coffee is hosted in Camanche and held at 9am. The coffee features a moderated discussion with the state elected officials: Representatives Tom Determann and Norlin Mommsen and Senator Mike Zimmer.
The first coffee is on Saturday January 24 with the remaining being all Saturdays at 9am as well: February 28, March 14, and April 18. The coffees will be held at Camanche City Hall, located at 818 7th Avenue. Each session will last approximately one hour. The Camanche based coffees will be livestreamed on the City of Camanche’s YouTube channel. Members of the public are encouraged to attend, listen, and submit questions on issues impacting the community.
Following the Camanche legislative coffee, DeWitt Chamber & Development Corporation hosts a second legislative coffee on the same Saturdays at 11am at the DeWitt Community Center, located at 512 10th Street in DeWitt, Iowa.
“We thank our elected officials for dedicating their entire Saturday morning to these coffees. Having the two coffees provides everyone in the county an opportunity to attend and ask their representatives questions on issues that matter to them,” said Matt Parbs, VP of Community & Economic Development.
