Lawson Rigging & Fabrication is a leader in industrial construction specializing in rigging, heavy lifts, iron work, demolition, and material handling and millwright, as well as marine construction. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and certified Crane Operator to join our dynamic team. we are looking for a career-oriented, open-minded individual looking to grow with our team and company.
The Crane Operator duties and responsibilities:
- Operate mobile cranes to lift and move heavy materials and equipment
- Transport crane to job sites and perform setup using mats, cribbing, and blocks
- Work with riggers and signal persons to ensure safe lifting operations
- Assemble/disassemble crane booms when required
- Conduct daily, monthly, and pre-/post-trip equipment inspections
- Support job site safety and assist with general labor as needed
- Maintain driver logs in compliance with FMCSA and company policy
- Communicate with staff personnel regarding project progress and equipment updates
- Rigging and heavy lifts
- Perform other duties outside of crane operation as needed or required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- NCCCO certification or equivalent -- Required
- CDL Class B -- Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- CDL Class A
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with OSHA and ANSI crane operation standards
- Pass a drug screening and background check
- Physically lift/move up to 60 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Previous experience with rigging or heavy equipment required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
