Position Summary: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning the execution of promotions and special events, social media content and planning, proofing marketing materials, maintaining current assets throughout the property, assisting with coordination of entertainment contracts and overall support of the marketing department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Marketing Manager
- Assist Marketing Manager with day-to-day operations of the Marketing department and coordination of all casino event projects.
- Assist with planning and preparation of promotions, giveaways, direct mail, social content and all other marketing materials.
- Positively impact the guest and team member experience by delivering outstanding customer service.
- Deployment and coordination of all property promotions including ordering, set up, displays, etc.
- Ensures that all promotions are accurately communicated property-wide.
- Ability to collaborate with other departments as it relates to marketing.
- Proofread marketing materials, company website, social media content, drawings, etc.
- Professionally respond to inquiries sent through the company website and on property
- Monitor website and social media content.
- Effectively maintain company brand standards throughout property.
- Adhere to the company’s confidentiality requirements.
- Comply with all Iowa Gaming & Racing Commission Rules and Regulations, as well as, any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
- Meet company attendance requirements.
- Meet proper department uniform, appearance and grooming standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Special Attendance Requirement: The Wild Rose Casino & Hotel is in operation seven days a week, 365 days a year. Employees may be required to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime. Wild Rose is not able to work around outside activities or other jobs unless it is agreed to, in writing, at time of hire.
- Must be able to obtain and retain an Iowa gaming license through the Iowa Gaming & Racing Commission.
- Must be able to work flexible hours: including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.
- Ability to organize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently or as a team.
- Maintain a professional attitude towards guests, other employees & departments and external partners.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate’s degree is required, Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Marketing from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
- Two years marketing experience preferred.
- One-year guest service, gaming experience preferred.
- Must have phone skills, proofing, grammatical and writing skills. High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, teambuilding and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to organize and maintain a wide variety of projects.
- Computer literacy in programs such as, but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and any casino management system is a plus
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in an office setting.
