Job Title: IT & Ecommerce Systems Administrator (Hands-On, Small Business)
Overview
This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys being the go-to problem solver across IT infrastructure and ecommerce operations in a growing small business. We are a manufacturing and ecommerce packaging company seeking an IT & Ecommerce Systems Administrator to manage our internal network, business systems, and ecommerce platform. This role is critical to daily operations and requires someone who takes initiative, stays current on evolving technology, and can both maintain infrastructure and support our online store.
Key Responsibilities:
You will take ownership across the following areas:
IT / Network Management:
- Maintain network health (backups, antivirus, monitoring)
- Manage infrastructure (servers, firewalls, switches, workstations)
- Perform updates across systems (servers, desktops, thin clients)
- Troubleshoot hardware (printers, phones, workstations)
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
- Oversee facility systems (cameras, alarms, vendor coordination)
Ecommerce & Website Management:
- Monitor transaction health, including failed transactions and authorization issues
- Maintain product listings (add/edit products, update dimensions)
- Assist with PCI compliance and security requirements
- Coordinate with platform support when needed
Qualifications:
- Experience with small-to-mid-size business IT infrastructure
- Basic networking knowledge (firewalls, switches, user permissions)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies quickly
- Comfortable being the primary IT resource in a small business environment (not a siloed corporate role)
Helpful Experience (Not Required — We Can Train the Right Person):
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (training provided)
- Experience with Raspberry Pi systems
- Understanding of PCI-DSS compliance requirements (network security)
- Manufacturing or packaging industry exposure

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. This role is primarily during business hours. Occasional after-hours work is expected for updates or issue resolution (planned and infrequent).
